Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Whatsappier ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and safeguards information when you use our services, including our WhatsApp automations, templates, dashboard, and integrations.
Information We Collect
- Account and profile: name, email, authentication identifiers, and organization details you provide.
- Usage data: logs about feature usage, device information, and diagnostics to improve reliability.
- Integration data: metadata exchanged with third-party services (e.g., WhatsApp Business API providers, Google Sheets) solely to provide requested features.
How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the services you request.
- Secure accounts, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
- Send service updates, security alerts, and support messages.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes above and to comply with legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account data at any time, subject to lawful exceptions.
Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Third-Party Services
Our product integrates with third-party services such as WhatsApp and Google services. Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We do not control the practices of third parties.
WhatsApp Account Responsibility
You are solely responsible for ensuring compliance with WhatsApp policies and applicable laws when using messaging features. We do not operate WhatsApp and are not responsible for any suspension or banning of WhatsApp accounts arising from your usage, message content, template approvals, or rate/quality limits enforced by WhatsApp or its partners.
Google User Data (Drive/Sheets)
If you connect a Google account, we access Google user data solely to provide features you enable (for example, creating or updating rows in a Google Sheet you select). We follow Google’s API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we access
- Basic profile for sign-in: name, email, and avatar (via standard sign-in scopes).
- Google Drive file references for spreadsheets you explicitly select or create within the app (file IDs, names, and links).
- Google Sheets content for the selected spreadsheets only (sheet/tab names, headers, cell values in ranges you choose to read or write).
How we obtain access
- You grant consent via Google’s OAuth consent screen. We use a file picker experience so you can select specific spreadsheets for the app to access.
- We request only the scopes necessary to provide each feature. Where possible, we use incremental authorization.
Scopes we use
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file— limits Drive access to files you create with the app or explicitly select for the app to access.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets— required to create sheets, append rows, update headers/columns, and modify cell ranges in the spreadsheets you selected.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.readonly— used for read-only features where applicable.
How we use Google data
- Create new spreadsheets you request and manage specific tabs/sheets.
- Append or update rows and headers for the automations you configure.
- Read sheet metadata and values to map template variables and columns.
Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell Google user data. We share data only with essential service providers under data processing terms to operate the product, for example:
- Email delivery (e.g., Resend) to send login links and notifications.
- Billing/subscriptions (e.g., Polar) to manage plans and invoices.
- Cloud hosting, database, and background job processing providers.
- Analytics, logging, and security tools to secure and improve the service.
Storage, retention, and deletion
- We store OAuth tokens and selected file IDs securely to perform the actions you enable. We retain this configuration while your account or the connection remains active.
- If you delete the Google Sheets connection in the app, we delete the stored tokens and disconnect access from our systems. After deletion, our app can no longer access your Google data.
- You can also revoke app access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Upon account deletion or a deletion request, we remove associated Google configuration and tokens from our systems subject to lawful retention requirements.
Limited Use and AI/ML
- We comply with Google API Services User Data Policy and the Limited Use requirements. We only use Google user data to provide or improve user-facing features.
- We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. We do not use Google user data to train generalized AI/ML models without separate explicit consent.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13 (or the relevant age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date above.
